Time Cataclysm
I want to say Advanced, because Advanced is more fun, but since Advanced Ennead is one of the toughest fights this game has to offer I'll leave it open to the players. Roll up, roll up! All are welcome, just pick a hero on the list, draw an opening hand and prepare to be slau- err, fight the good fight! :D
“You gotta have blue hair."
-Reckless
I'm alsways up for Advanced Ennead. Regular is fun, but advanced is my favorite fight in the game.
As for who, I'd play anyone but prefer Fixer
Count me in! I'll take Fixer
Iron Legacy did nothing wrong.
BlueHairedMeerkat, are you taking a hero? i wouldn't mind joining but I have been in the first 3 games. If you still need someone I will join, but let's see if anyone else wants to first.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
-Robert E. Howard, "The Tower of the Elephant"
I might take a hero, but probably not. I'm content just running stuff for this game.
“You gotta have blue hair."
-Reckless
I'll take any hero, probably whoever that is left unpicked.
I'm up for advance too.
Ha, it's funny that everyone wants to be Mr. Fixer what with all the threads on here about how broken he is supposed to be
I am up for this one, no preference on which hero as it appears that I missed the Mr Fixer boat already. Then again, on the back of all the old discussions about Four Legacies and Four Ra's, is the world ready yet for Four Fixers???
Four Fixers would be amazing, all multi-target damage gets redirected, grease gun + slavage yards all over the place, nothing but irreducible damage. Would be fun
Let's do this! Pydro's in (assuming he wants to be), because that way we get five, and I've slotted y'all into the hero slots in the order you turned up.

Visionary opening hand: Prophetic Vision, Cerebral Heorrahage, Psychic Maelstrom, Brain Burn.
A couple of things about Visionary: I will need some suggestions on when/who to use the cards/power on. Right now I have Prophetic Vision and Enlighten.
Also, I found it useful to setup a google doc with all the key pieces of information. It puts most of the thigs you will need to know on a single page.
Don't forget to change the title of the thread to Advanced and take out "players wanted."

Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
-Robert E. Howard, "The Tower of the Elephant"
I would assume Wraith might want it depending on opening draw. I'm fine and it seems like Fixer has a strong hand with Meditation
I'd be inclined to say Enlighten yourself,
would be good to get some Precognitions or Twist the Ethers. Starting out with 7 of them on the first turn . . . Yeesh. But I guess we don't know the starting hand of the others yet.
EDIT: But yeah, I agree, definitely skip me regardless.
Iron Legacy did nothing wrong.
Ok, will wait for Wraith's starting hand. We need to wait for the top 3 environment cards anyways. At least I know which card to discard if I Enlighten myself (1 damage to 3 targets, bleh..someone take her out).
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
-Robert E. Howard, "The Tower of the Elephant"
We have a Rift in Time, a Charging Triceratops and a Crushing Hallway.
“You gotta have blue hair."
-Reckless
No Crushing Hallway. If we don't do any more damage this round to Nuit, Trice will hit her for 3, otherwise it'd be Tempest. rift in Time could be useful if I find a Dominion
No crushing Hallway. :) Felt is was worth repeating. Dino does damage at the start of the turn, so we would not have to hit her all of next round too. Might still be worth it though. Also make sure Crushing Hallway is the bottom card.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
-Robert E. Howard, "The Tower of the Elephant"
Actually, I bet we could take down some of the others to be hit by the Dino. Either way, probably the safest choice, though Rift in Time is always fun
I think this is the point where we say: "What is Tempy and Wrath holding?"
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
-Robert E. Howard, "The Tower of the Elephant"
Wraith has a slightly less than useful opening hand, with x2 combat stance, suture self, and trust fund. I guess I will trust fund then hit Nuit for 1. Wraith has a habit of churning her deck unassisted and Visionary is a pain without just the right cards so I'd suggest Visionary use her power on herself.
I fixed my turn. i am out until tomorrow night, so you can figure out which environment card to put on top. If it manages to hit my turn again before I can log on again, just skip it (if it doesn't matter) and I will take my turn when I can.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
-Robert E. Howard, "The Tower of the Elephant"
I'll get my deck on Monday, will update then.
Looking through the decks, I noticed that there are no Ongoings to destroy. :( So I am not going to play Mental Divergence as it would only be fodder for something like Ancient Magicks (unless you want it to be). If that ever comes out, I will play Mental Divergence to gain back whatever essential Ongoing we need. (Just thinking out loud here.)
Did we agree on the dino?
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
-Robert E. Howard, "The Tower of the Elephant"
BlueHairedMeerkat if you get a chance can you put down a symbol (or just a number) by each of the villains indicating which symbol they activate on. If possible could you also put down the symbol (or number) of the card being played?
EDIT: Thanks!
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.

Thoughts: Impromptu invention probably for Throwing Knives seeing as we are up against multiple targets, but they won't be much use without the Micro Targeting Computer. I could just go for a Razor Ordnance but feel like I'll end up kicking myself if the MTC then comes out soon after. Or I could dig for the MTC and wait for either of the two projectile weapons to pop up?

Wraith'll take the hits, seeing as I have two healing cards in hand.
note to self: Wraith now on 20HP
I would say RO for Wraith. AoE would be great once we get rid of the 1 DR, which is hindering a bunch of people. I think the focus now should be Nuit, which means a single target heavy hitter. It might take a couple of rounds anyways to kill her, which would give you a couple of chances to TK, II, or even MTC.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.

I think I got all of the HP values right . . . So, if there's an Enlighten available, I might take it this round. Don't have much else to play until I get a Harmony out.

Notes: Played Mass Levitation as fodder in case we need to destroy Ongoings (and ended up drawing another one). I decided to Enlighten myself (sorry Fixer), because right now I have nothing to do.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
-Robert E. Howard, "The Tower of the Elephant"
Nephthys took 1 from the Jack Handle as well, taking her down to 27
No worries. I can still Charge next turn anyways, get a little bit more damage on everyone. Added Nephthys to the damage list
Iron Legacy did nothing wrong.
I need a better hand, I will play Gene Bound Shackles. After that, should sacrifice shackles or winds for my power? I'm thinking winds...
I vote winds
Probably winds. I don't think they do too many big hits of damage, but I could be wrong. And in the right situation, Shackles can get the boost to lots of the Ennead if you do it in the right order.
Iron Legacy did nothing wrong.

Wraith Price of Freedom
HP: 20
Hand: Suture Self, Impromptu Invention, Grappling Hook, Stun Bolt, Mega Computer, Suture Self
In Play: None
Trash: Trust Fund, Combat Stance, Combat Stance
-----------------
Play a Card: Impromptu Invention (draws Throwing Knives - yay! - searches for MTC and puts into play. Then plays Throwing Knives)
Use a Power: Throwing Knives, 3 to Nuit and 2 each to Isis and Set (I'm just targeting the weakest here, happy to change the targets if we agree a strategy for who we want to pick off first)
Draw a Card: Infrared Eyepiece
-----------------
HP: 20
Hand: Suture Self, Grappling Hook, Stun Bolt, Mega Computer, Suture Self, Infrared Eyepiece
In Play: Micro Targeting Computer, Throwing Knives
Trash: Trust Fund, Combat Stance, Combat Stance, Impromptu Invention
-----------------
Thoughts: the MTC ultimately seemed the better bet with Throwing Knives already in hand, although Utility Belt did cross my mind. I'll probably Suture Self and use the Knives for the next couple of rounds unless there is a pressing need for the Grappling Hook, or I draw something that lets me drill my deck again. Ditching both Combat Stances was probably a bit of a brain fart although I would have been reticent to put them into play before Haka goes on a rampage anyway.
