That's the first time Space lost a Standard difficulty match. Interestingly, Alternate Reality is now the only team that's undefeated on Standard, despite not doing that well in the rest of the tournament.
That's really interesting, once I finish I'll take a look at how different teams did on different difficulties to see if there were other interesting trends.
Two rounds left huh? That means we have a few places confirmed
1st Space
1st or 2nd Nature
3rd or 4th F5 and VG
5th Revocorp
5th or 6th Alternate Reality
7th PW
8th DW
1. I'll use the same shield for all teams for each difficulty - choosen at random, but with no repeats, such that 4/5 will be used between the 4 difficulties... unless Oblivaeon's Challenge rule ends up involving multiple shields.
2. Environments will be choosen at random with no repeats... Time Cataclysm must be used as one of the 20 environments since it will have 1 less use than the other environments once the remaining 10 non-oblivaeon battles are completed.
3. The 5 environments selected for each battle will be used in order.
4. Each team has been assigned 20 thematic backup heroes to be used in order (as eligible). The backup heroes were assigned by assigning each team all variants of their heroes first in release order, and then populating the rest based on theme using each variant exactly once (except Completionist Guise who will only be used for team Nature). Also, I avoided repeats of the same hero's variant on any team other than its own. If I run out of thematic backups I'll start hitting the random button.
5 Scions defeated (4 plus a flipped Voss). 3 heroes incapacitated. 3 environments lost (all environment 2's... Time Cataclysm made it to the end).
Final team: Luminary, AH Stuntman, FS Parse, F6 Unity, Benchmark.
Note: After repeated failing to take out the shield. Oblivaeon destroyed 3 environments in 2 rounds the heroes won the game by defeating Oblivaeon's second side third side, and Voss in only 8 hero turns.
I'm gonna handle the OblivAeon stuff a bit differently here. First number is OblivAeons Phases, second is Scions beaten (not counting voss), third is enviroments destroid, last is heroes incapped.
Funny how second to last place managed to win with only two enviroments blowing up.
I also think to some account the major difference in playing all these other games and going into OblivAeon. So I’d expect the first time playing it again might require some relearning of what needs done. Add on that for Nature they encountered Voss which adds more time for things to go possibly wrong.
Crush your enemies, drive them before you, and laminate their women! - Guise, Prime Wardens #31
I'm assuming Voss didn't flip because Fixer had some enormous irreducible damage heading toward him. Going through all the Scions I'm surprised there weren't more incaps.

I'm assuming Voss didn't flip because Fixer had some enormous irreducible damage heading toward him. Going through all the Scions I'm surprised there weren't more incaps.
Fixer managed to land a hit with Riveting Crane in play. Oblivaeon was on side 1 so there wasn't much benefit to fighting him or other Scion so in the 1 round opening Fixer created I focused on Voss and did 30ish damage to him. The remaining damage came from Oblivaeon himself and Borr the unstable over the course of the destruction of both Tomb of Anubis and Rook City in the same turn (all heroes were present but immune thanks to True Hero in the end). That turn was the major turning point in the game since it eliminated all the Scions but left no backup environments and OnlivAeon gained 10 devastation tokens since no heroes took damage from Oblivaeon's end of turn effect or the Oblivaeon Shield.
I'm not sure SubZero Atmospehre is a great play against OblivAeon in general especially with the Battle Zone stuff. As to whether you had a bug or not you could send Feedback to Handelabra but based off what only a bit of info I can't say one way or the other about what happened.

I tried to send a bug report but got an error for some reason. I will try again later from my PC. Assuming it does affect Oblivaeon's turn it's useful specifically for getting rid of the shield as what makes that shield so tough is Oblivaeon can incap your heroes or make you move zones before you get to hos end of turn phase.
Jeez, teams are sturggling with the sheild it seems.
Yeah, the major issue's the teams have been facing are:
-The extra Aeonmen mean more Aeon locus will be destroyed and mean more OblivAeon deck plays. This led to me seeing Temporal Fractures every game giving me 1 less round.
-The ordering of Oblivaeon's start of turn effects are super inconvenient. First the countdown ticks down (so even if you've cleared the Aeonmen with a round to spare you will still fail. Second the Shield is checked. Third the environment destruction occurs (meaning if Aeon Master is defeated this way you already missed the timing for the shield check). At the end of his turn Oblivaeon will play more Aeonmen in both zones so its tough to get another chance.

I wasn't clear in my original posts but Prime Wardens and Alt Reality did flip the shield, just didn't remove it entirely.
Nature Wins!!! (And does so by exploding Borr the unstable to land the final hit).
2 environment destroyed (Ruins and Realm)
6 Scions defeated (including Borr in that count)
5 hero incaps
Final heroes: Void Akash, Hunted Naturalist, Horus Ra, Scholar of the Infinite, Santa Guise

If OblivAeon is done I'm curious what stipulations you have since the amount of variants you have between all these teams is not the same.
So excluding OblivAeon mode at worst Dark Watch has a 73% win rate compared to the potential best of team space at 88% (rounding down for both).
Crush your enemies, drive them before you, and laminate their women! - Guise, Prime Wardens #31
Round 124 Results:
Wins: Freedom Five, Void Guard, Alt. Reality, Space, and Nature
Losses: Prime Wardens, Dark Watch, Revo Corp.
Round 125: Standard Oblivaeon, more details to follow in follow up post.
Baron Blade total: 27 wins - 5 losses.
Still to come:
Challenge and Ultimate Trickster Kismet, when released.
4 rounds each of Challenge and Ultimate Vengeance, when released
All difficulties of Oblivaeon (Challenge and Ultimate waiting on release)
How Oblivaeon will work.
1. I'll use the same shield for all teams for each difficulty - choosen at random, but with no repeats, such that 4/5 will be used between the 4 difficulties... unless Oblivaeon's Challenge rule ends up involving multiple shields.

Round 125: Standard OblivAeon - Shield: The Ceaseless Ruin

Posting Results individually due to the length of these fights.
Nature Wins. All Scions defeated. 3 environments lost. 14 incapacitated heroes.
Final heroes: PW Haka, PW Tempest, Dr. Medico, DW Harpy, Absolute Zero.
Interesting they won but with none of their original team or even second team intact.

Final team: Dr. Medico, Road Warrior Mainstay, The Idealist, Writhe.
Freedom 5 loses. I misplayed Subzero Atmosphere twice thinking it would effect the Oblivaeon turn but either it doesn't or I encountered a bug.
Lost on phase 2.
4 environments destroyed.
9 Scions defeated.
9 heroes incapacitated.
Shield flipped but not removed.

8 scions defeated. 5 hero incapacitations. 4 environments lost.
Loss on phase 2, shield still in play.
Final team: Black Spot La Comodora, Dark Visionary, Greatest Legacy, BoT Chrono-Ranger
Void Guard loses. Unfortunately I hit a game breaking bug and (literally) couldn't continue, but trust me it was going to be a loss.

Yeah Source of Foes is certainly the hardest shield to deal with.
