I’ve had it happen before but that environment loss condition is pretty rare. I’m surprised Freedom Five would be the ones that lost that way.
Legacy was able to tank all the fire damage with Next Evolution + Lead from the Front. But indestructable turn 1 Auto Armor meant I couldn't effectively damage Deadline and round 2 indestructible Pandemonium Key in a target heavy environment meant once flipped Deadline stayed flipped and removed at least 2 environment cards per round.
Void Guard tried to get around Prison Break by leaving Informant in play in the hopes of getting it before all the Underbosses came out. It backfired because Prison Break was the bottom card of the villain deck.

Okay, how did Dark Watch pull this off while everyone else floundered?
Other than Space, Dark Watch has the best area damage of any team plus some of the highest number of ongoing destruction cards. Nightmist playing Mist form early and tanking all hits aimed at highest hero was a big factor. Eventually Setback and Harpy went down and used their incaps to give Expat and Fixer extra power uses.
Also, luck is a big factor. Freedom Five for example had great cards except for the fact that they couldn't draw ongoing destruction and Maria Helena's Revenge was played round 1.
Okay so Revo has the best deck manipulation in the game and ongoing busting out the wazoo. If anyone was winning here, it was them. Nature winning makes a bit of sense on account of how dang durable that team is even with all the setup blowup. How the heck did Void Gaurd and Space make it through this?

Space won with The Sentinels as the last hero standing. Both Sky-scraper and KNYFE have "1 hero may use a power" incaps which meant Mainstay could get 3 blocks per round. The Sentinels were able to chip Miss Info down with their damage dealing one-shots and The Slumbering Serpent helped as well.
Void Guard won thanks to Dr. Medico keeping everyone alive and Void Slave helping keep Clues out of play.
In general, the environment was a huge factor. Freedom 5 had great cards and would have been in position to be competitive; but a round 1 Savana Noctura led to Legacy, Bunker, and Absolute Zero all going down on the second villain turn.
Ennead has one of the more notable difficulty spikes on higher difficulties. I am surprised Nature fell though as Scholar is one of few heroes that can survive Ultimate Ennead.
Most of the games were really close one way or the other. The lone exception was Space who had an easy win thanks to Skyscraper going huge most of the game. Freedom 5 was a heartbreaker, they managed to take out 8 members of the Ennead on their way to defeat. Nature was hurt by Court of Blood shutting down healing and radiant damage.
Yeah, they'll be very hard for anyone to catch up to at this point. I'd be pretty surprised if any teams moved up or down at this point other than Void Guard and Freedom Five who have been neck to neck for third place for a while now.
That's the first time Space lost a Standard difficulty match. Interestingly, Alternate Reality is now the only team that's undefeated on Standard, despite not doing that well in the rest of the tournament.
