Sentinels tactics and hex tiles

So I am soon going to paint my mini's. I was thinking a 3d map would be fun to play with them. So I have been looking for 3d hex tile games and all I could find is heroscape. Anyone have any suggestions on any others? Also has anyone tried somethino like this already?

while I'm not certain of other games that could be repurposed into the tiles, their are some DYI attempts here on the forum

Also, spiff has been working on patterns for 3d buildings as well

I was not able to find anything besides Heroscape.  I have been working on different DIY solutions.  I have been building Spiff's papercraft buildings, linked to by kitmehsu - they look awesome!  I have also built foamcore terrain for the Insula side of the map by cutting 1/2 inch foamcore to the right size.    Both techniques make the map really come alive.  I suspect the foam core will hold up better for traveling, and the papercraft buildings will stay at home to remain looking good.

Having cut foam core for all the tiles, I really recommend it as a starting point. Cutting all the hex forms is somewhat tedious, but it doesn't require any skill or special ability and all the equipment is stuff that is either really cheap (foam core, glue) or things you probably already have (a scanner).
