Infinitor Loop?

Infinitor Loop?

I really hope I'm doing something wrong here.

Setup: Alternate Infinitor, unflipped, and an environment that can reduce damage by 2 (The Block, Pike Industrial Complex). Infinitor has at least 1 manifestation in play with at least 2 HP, and all other manifestations are either in play in front of Infinitor or already taken out of play. Additionally, no hero effects currently in play make damage irreducible.

With this setup, all remaining cards in Infinitor's deck will have the effect of playing the top card of the villain deck. Normally, Whispers of Oblivion or Machinations of a Madman would break the loop (by either slowly running the heroes or the manifestations in play out of HP), but with the damage reduction that wouldn't happen.

So does this result in an infinite loop, or am I missing something?

Oneshots don't go to the discard pile until their text has resolved. (Including text like 'play a card')

Thank you! That would definitely break the loop.

I'm just not used to seeing a whole stack of one-shots pile up like that.

There are a few other potential infinite loops like that, this is why the rule is there!
