Since i've decided to play all the villains with random 5 man teams on Normal, Advanced, Challenge, and Ultimate (at least that are in the Video Game atm) i've lost to Ambuscade multiple times now.
This is because of Charged Attacks. It has a high likelyhood if you get Charged Attacks, a Sonic Mine, and one or two low HP devices after you've wailed on them, to fire of multiple times as it kills the low HP devices and do 8, 10, even 12 damage to every hero. Its brutal.
So... if you want to make Ambuscade more challenging, start with Charged Attacks in play and make int indestructable :P

though, I had one happen that way with Regular ol Ambuscace, with only Horus Ra left after 3 rounds. Still managed to get Ambuscade down to about 5 hp, but wasn't able to finish him off.
