I saw a reference to this on one of the forums, and despite some Googling couldn't find the answer:
Someone mentioned an option in the app where they set Twist the Ether to do the same thing (set type of damage, reduce/increase) every time automatically without having to choose. I can't find that option in the iOS app -- is it only on Steam?
If you tap and hold an option, you should see an orange bar start to work its way around that option. Wait long enough, and it'll make it choose that option for the rest of the turn whenever it comes up. If you keep holding it after that point, a yellow bar will appear and do the same thing, and when the yellow bar is done, it'll choose that option for the rest of the game.
These choices can be undone by looking at the current effects (the lightning bolt) and choosing to clear the ones you want, and rewinding will automatically clear all automated choices.
If you look under the "How to play" menu in-game, under "Gameplay" there is a section called "Repeating Decisions" which explains it. Basically you can press and hold choices to make it last for the rest of the turn or the rest of the game. It should apply to all versions of the app.
Fun challenge: try repeating every decision you make in a game. It can lead to some interesting results...
