2 vs 2 format

Since getting into Tactics, I have been introducing it to my gaming circle. Most of the time it is hard to get 6 of us together to play standard tournament format, so we have been doing something that seams to work well for us. Thought I would share.

2 vs 2 Format
Works the same as standard, with just two on each team. Each player controls one character, play to 3 encaps. Play is quick and we have not gone the full 50 minutes yet.

If you want to make an afternoon/evening of it, after the match set the charaters used aside and draft another round. Repeat until you have drafted all the characters. Forced players to learn the other characters and how the play. Who knows, you might find a new favorite.

I like this idea. I'm curious what order the characters got drafted in.

I like 2 vs 2 generally but some characters do not shine in that format. Anyone who has support abilities (Legacy, The Visionary, Bunker, etc) is more effective the more allies they have.

2 vs 2 vs 2 is.. interesting =)

I love 2v2v2.  That might be my favorite format, the sheer chaos and the constant re-evaluation of threats is great fun.

2v2 isn't balanced very well. Try beating Dawn/Legacy with...well anybody

I'll take Blade and Tachyon

And that is why we start with the Banned character's first. When we ran through all the characters this past weekend, Baron Blade and Citizen Dawn was in the final group because they kept getting banned.

Blade and Omni Reaper vs Dawn and Ra, was an interesting match up.
