Where for art thou OblivAeon?

So... All the signed stuff shipped six days ago ... No big box of Sentinels goodness ... No fedex shipping notification ... At what point should I hit the GtG panic button?

My big ol' box of signed everything got a notification Monday I think, with a new update saying its delivering today so I am happy. Hopefully yours are just puttering along in a van somewhere and just haven't sent an email.

I would say if you haven't seen/heard anything by mid next week would be an appropriate time to panic.

I thought there was a bunch of signed stuff that they didn't get picked up last week, that was supposed to go yesterday? Am I remembering incorrectly?

I was assuming that the last KS update was accurate and that all the signed stuff was out the door last Friday.

Even more pedantically: When both "wherefore" and "why" were commonly used in English, they had different meanings.  "Wherefore" meant "what caused this" or "as a result of which" and "why" meant "with what rationale."

Ah! Check the comments on that update. There's a note from 4 days ago:

So some of it went this week. Not sure where I got Thursday as the date for that, though... :-/

All I know is I get pissed when some self-proclaimed thesbian thinks Juliet is asking Romeo where he is. She knows damn well where he is. He's asking why he must be a Montigue, when she is a Capulet.

UPDATE:

Canvas heroes and villains signed print arrived today ... Creased half a dozen places because the box was crushed.
... And nothing else ... Sigh.

My signed box appeared today, without any kind of Fedex notification. However, I don't have the canvas print. Is that supposed to be coming seperately?

From what I've heard, the time to panic is when they've announced that the last package has been delivered.

(EDIT: Someone may want to double check that, though.)

I got my canvas print yesterday, in a similar state as Yak Guardian's. I have it rolled up in a way that will hopefully encourage the creases to naturally come out, or at least be less prominent.

Still no big box of OblivAeon yet, though. :(

Perhaps your cats are holding OblivAeon hostage until they get their new bed? Seems like a thing cats would do.

One of my cats once waited for my wife to leave the room then AFTER WATCHING TO BE SURE SHE WAS GONE turned, looked at me, knocked a cup off her desk and when I (predictably) got up to pick it up, he hopped into my chair, curled up and pretended to be asleep.

So... Yeah, you might be onto something.

In case anyone is still playing along at home, three FedEx trucks today- - no multiverse destoyers to be seen.

In other news: FedEx and UPS announced a merger today. The combined company will be named FedUp. :p

You’re unlikely to get the package from FedEx.  GtG does FedEx Smart Post which means FedEx does most of the transport but they hand it off to USPS for local delivery.

I get it.   I’m just pointing out you want to be waiting on your USPS driver not the FedEx trucks coming around.   I hope you get your copy soon.

UPDATE

A friend who lives within walking distance got his shipping notification from FedEx yesterday and is expecting his stuff next Wednesday. He backed at the same level as I did but backed three weeks later than I did.

I have a (damaged) canvas print and nothing else.

That's an awful low backer number to not have anything yet :( I don't have any tracking info yet either, but I'm only in the first 73% of backers, not the first 1%, so I can't fully feel the depth of your pain.

We are finishing the last 1000 or so parcels this week at a pretty good rate. I'll post an update this afternoon about our status.

Over on the KS board, several backers, mostly Canadians, are reporting receiving shipping notification today.

I still got nada. Really hoping the update occurs and gives me reason to believe something is heading my way soon.

Got FedEx and USPS enhanced tracking. Nothing.

I am one of at least five people who have gotten the canvas print but nothing else including no direct response from GtG.

(And one of two whose prints arrived damaged.)

Over on KS someone said this is getting absurd. I'm sorry but we passed absurd several exits back and I don't need excuses from you (or anyone else for that matter). I need an answer. From GtG.

72 hours since I emailed them.

Nearly 36 hours since I submitted the form.

12 hours since a friend received his copy.

And...

Still got nada. Not even an excuse.

Still sittin'.

Still waitin'.

On the plus side, I think I might be the lowest numbered backer (112) who doesn't have the game yet.

Finally got a response. They believe that FedEx/USPS ate my shipment (believable given the condition of the canvas print). So I'm now scheduled to get mine after the main fulfillment period, meaning I'm not even part of the "Final 700" Club. I'm even after that.

... Dude. It's Sunday. I've been watching this thread with little more than rolled eyes for someone who hasn't accepted that GtG said they weren't going to be able to get to damaged or missing shipments until after the rest of the packages were shipped out, but this is too much.

They are people with lives that probably take weekends off (when they aren't giving them up to go to a Con). You've already learned that it was likely FedEx, and not GtG that caused the issue, and that they have two people looking into it. You posted on Friday at 11am their time that they were looking into it. That means there were maybe 6 business hours left between then and now for them to contact FedEx about it and get a response. Getting anything about a specific package in that amount of time is incredibly unlikely.

Chill.

Considering Paul said he'd look into it 27 hours before Maggie and they claim the game shipped they had plenty of time to check the tracking number.

And no matter how chill I am or am not I'm going to continue to post here and on KS until I have it in hand.

My name's in the rulebook and I'd like to actually see it.

@Yak Guardian

At this point it seems like your parcel was definitely lost, which sucks. We've had a few other lost parcels (right around the 0.2% rate, which is about average). If you have not yet, please fill out this form to let us know what is missing (and that goes for everyone else too!). This lets us get all of the replacement or damaged issues in a single place and will let us get them out as fast as possible once we start on that phase of fulfillment (most likely next week).

Paul,

Thank you. I have filled out the form. (Actually two, one for the missing shipment, one for the damaged canvas which the frame shop said could not be repaired.)

I'm really looking forward to being able to play the finished product.

For those of you still reading this thread, based on GtG responses here and elsewhere, the 0.2% lost-in-transit packages, mine included, could be shipping out as early as today.

Fingers crossed.

First, thank you Carnilius.

Second, direct from my inbox, an email from GtG...

Spirit Island: Jagged Earth is LIVE on Kickstarter.

I...

I got nothing. There is no family-friendly response to that.

So the most recent word is that the reshipping of "lost" orders is starting today.

Sigh.

On the bright side one of the many people in town who did get their order is supposed to be at one of the local store's game night tonight.

Could be that 0.2% is a reasonable enough loss rate that the company continues with its plans as normal. I mean, it stinks for you - my sympathies - but there doesn't seem to be any reason to delay the Spirit Island Kickstarter over it.
