Well, I don't quite know what we're doing, so I don't know what we need.
If part of the plan involves looking at games, the Arden Suite at the Hilton opens at 7pm on Thursday for pre-con gaming. Not sure how accessible that one is for non-Hilton residents, though.
The bars in the area are all hella awkward, as far as I know. The Wetherspoons in the NEC closes at 6, the one in the airport is after security, the Hilton bar doesn't allow gaming and then there is this outlet retail mall not far away across the lake from the Hilton that has restaurants and some bars and a Starbucks, but I really don't think that is all that convenient either.
Just for info, the open gaming rooms in the Hilton are totally accessible for non-Hilton residents too, they're all just for the expo and not at all related to where you're staying.
Just letting you all know in case you want to move from the bar to there.
I've been stalking this thread for confirmation that Paul will be there, so I will pack my Legacy cosplay and hope I'm brave enough (and warm enough) to wear it on Saturday ^_^
