I have started reading the Kingkiller Chronicle after hearing all of you wittering on about it for long enough.
Reading was the wrong word as I have been listening to an audiobook. I stopped for a week or so at chapter 58, and today I have "read" up to chapter 70, I am still waiting for something to happen that will grab me.

Has anyone here read any Iain M. Banks? I started picking through his Culture series a few months ago and have been enjoying it quite a bit, but I don't hear his name come up much.
I kinda wanna disappear from Sentinels for a year, just so when I come back, I'll have all this awesome info and like 50 episodes of the Letters Page.
Relatable?

Well it's been 3 weeks and I've "read" no further chapters of The Kingkiller Chronicle, so it's time to drop it... which is so rare for me, I read a book all the way through 999/1000 even if I hate it. The last book I did this to was The Jennifer Morgue by Charles Stross, which was so boring I couldn't get even 2 chapters in.
So that's the end of that chapter.

I used to think that once you started a book you should finish it. Then I found that if I didn't like a book, I just wouldn't read it as often, and it would take forever to finish and move on. Now, I have a similar policy, if I don't pick it up for awhile, it is time to put it back.

If you understand, say "I understand". If you don't understand, say "don't understand." But if you understand and say "don't understand" how will I understand that you understand?
Understand?

People sometimes neuter pet rats. Which is normally not a very interesting thing to know, but it becomes much more entertaining when taken in the context of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

I got the Spooky Horror bundle on Humble bundle today. I accidently clicked to give me the steam key for Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location. So if anyone wants it, here it is:
Started running a roleplay recently. Having a go at the Pathfinder Iron Gods adventure path. I'm enjoying running, especially now I have a side story where two of the characters have discovered bacon
I don't know what makes me different and I don't care. Maybe it's not my problem, but why do they stare? - The Living End, Strange
On a happier note, after I finish 6-player Sentinels and the mechanics for my own hero, I'm starting work on my Flesh war game. with cards such as An Old RIval, Troubled Overlords, and Improve PR Dept.

A convo I had elsewhere recently reminded me of how when I was a kid I used to read about parapsychology and occult stuff for fun.
But that's not the notable thing. The notable thing is that the reason I did this was because I discovered as a kid that my elementary school library had an entire section devoted to parapsychology and books about the occult and got curious.

Not sure If I can convice my role playing group to do a SC RPG with out any books, just inferring with what is out and acouple of the pdf we seen. Having them trust me on how things should be because I followed everything they have out so far.
I think I can start it but the leveling up is the problem. . . Still will not stop me.

Couldn't find the fanart thread for some reason, so thought I'd post this here.
Wanted some artwork for my game room, so I had a piece commissioned. I'm happy with the result. :)
That's awesome!

Sanderson is amazing, easily my favorite author.

If you like Sanderson, consider Brent Weeks' Black Prism series.
I've actually read the first book. I keep meaning to read the rest, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

That is awesome. It really is amazing how many little (and not-so-little) references are in the art.
Just another reason to love this game!!!
And thanks for sharing this, Matchstickman! I don't remember that having been shared before. How did you even find it?!
