Yeah, if anyone knows who that is, I'd like it shut down.
I am all about people making those, distributing them, whatever. People should have access to them. But I do NOT like seeing them sold. Especially not for $15 - that's just exorbitant.
So, this is me officially saying that I do not condone or approve of the sale of fake promo cards.

Any chance someone with GTG can contact eBay and tell them that? That might go a long way in getting them to do something about it.

I didn't like Kingkiller at all. The main character is too dang competent at individual activities, which is what keeps saving him from his really bad overall decisions. Meanwhile, the framing device with everything happening in the past kept making me yell "no go back to the present THERE IS A CRISIS THERE!" Also, urgh, the faerie bit.
I'll go ahead and stick my neck out again: while I loved "Heir to the Empire" in middle school, when I reread them as an adult I realized that all of Thrawn's "tactical genius" consisted of him revealing a plot-device technology that was previously unknown in the entire Star Wars universe, thus surprising everybody. Is the new version any better written?
Speaking of authors improving, though, I enjoyed the crap out of "The Collapsing Empire." It definitely read like a much more mature Scalzi, without sacrificing any of his fast-paced style.
DIfferent topic: Doing a demonstration of best Chairman techniques to myself because I can't find a screen recorder for my ipad, using Legacy (Next evox2, lead from front, Legacy ring) Visionary (Cocoon if all goes wrong) Haka (Savage Mana) Tachyon (null villain damage) and Wraith (reduce villain damage). None of those cards come out, I get a good damage-dealing setup though, end of round 1 Obsidian Field comes out of Primalis. Start of round 2, Chairman plays Rook city is mine, brings out the other 2 Obsidian fields. Easiest/Most fun Chairman game I've played.

Out my office window, it's a whiteout.
"Whiteout" would be a good hero name.
Or villain name.

It's the title of a rejected card of Absolute Zero in a blizzard. A friend of ours got Adam to sign a print of it at Gen Con last year (attached).

As opposed to what, Han Duo? Greedo?
