We're a bit confused by this card. And we couldn't find anything about it here. (Pardons if we missed it.)
It says, "If a Proletariat would take 2 or more damage, remove that Proletariat from the map instead."
Which Proletariat is "that" Proletariat?
So instead of Pro taking two damage, he essentially takes all of his damage and is removed from the map. We're not sure what that accomlishes.
We get the impression that the removal is supposed to negate the 2+ damage. Spiff's FAQ, page 8, "But if he were to decide not to block one of the attack dice, he could choose to lose a clone instead and take no damage." But that doesn't seem to be what the card says. It says "that Proletariat" (the clone takng the damage) is removed.
If it said "remove a Proletariat..." the FAQ would make sense. But "that" Proletariat seems to be pretty specific to the one taking damage.
What are we missing? :( Thanks!

1 Prole=all Proles and they all share a health pool. So Defensive Sacrifice is a great card if you want to run up into the thick of things and not risk getting incapped. Essentially, as long as you still have 1 clone safe somewhere, you can get a clone to the front lines and if it takes a big hit, it goes away instead of the character taking damage. That Proletariat is the one being targeted with the attack that does damage
Yes, the target that is being attacked (Proletariat is one character, one ally, but up to 6 targets) is the one that is removed.
