I actually hate trivia, but I have been obsessed with the idea of writing trivia questions entirely from my existing knowledge (ie without research) (except to check that they're right). For the next 5 days I'm going to post 10 trivia questions - without googling or checking the responses, answer as many of these as you can. No cheating!
Entertainment:
1) Who is the current voice of Kermit the Frog?
2) What is the highest-grossing film directed by a woman?
3) Which is the only Pixar film that the Pizza Planet truck doesn't appear in?
4) Name two Rob Reiner films in which a character always reads the last page of a book before reading the rest.

7) We had a spy on the inside. That's right:
8) Before hosting his own late night talk show, which TV series was Conan O'Brien a writer for?

(I actually started this yesterday so I'm gonna post two days' worth today.)
History and Politics:
1) BLANK for America was consistently the lowest-polling candidate for the 2016 Republican Party presidential nomination. Who is BLANK?
2) Abbott and Costello are the surnames of which two prominent Australian politicians?
3) Which former mayor of Toowoomba led the campaign against treated sewage water during the drought?
4) What was Toronto's name before it was Toronto?
5) Why did Mark Hofmann start bombing Mormon document collectors?

10) Who was the youngest female convict on the First Fleet?

Bad showing on that list I expect, let's hope I do better with History:
1. Rick Scott? Hard to say without knowing how long the person was in the race for.
2. Have no clue.

8. Conan O'Brien was a writer for the Simpsons, during the golden age. Pretty sure he wrote the monorail episode, too.

Yep. He even did a live version of the monorail song. He made it because he is a big fan of The Music Man.

Hmm. I suppose that I should actually answer the question asked. Why is not the same as how. :D

I feel like I should know the Pixar one, just because Pixar. Ario - it's not Brave because it's shown briefly as a wooden carving in the witch's hut (as is a carving of Sulley, I think in relief form). Ohh wait, now I think about it, I think the answer has to be The Good Dinosaur...
I will guess at the Ancient Egyptian answer as "because they had camels instead", but I'm not sure.
I have no idea on any of the rest, but it seems pretty American-centric (well, actually there seem to be quite a few Australian-focused questions there too now I read through them again...) so that may have something to do with it ;).
