You can make different choices. If you have played two Slow Powers, you can either...
Discard them both and for each card gain Energy equal to that card's cost, plus one (so if you had one that cost two Energy and one that only cost one, you would get back three Energy for the first cad and two for the second).
Discard one and then either pay three Energy or destroy two of your Presence and choose to activate the other one now or wait to do so until the Slow Phase as usual.
Pay three Energy or destroy two of your Presence twice and decide whether you want to activate both cards now, one now and one in the Slow Phase, or neither now and wait to do both in the Slow Phase as normal.
