I haven't done a big, epic RPG in a while; I tried Deus Ex: The Fall, and was sorely disappointed to find it was just part of an episodic game that was never finished, and that just didn't scratch the itch. So help me clear out my backlog by choosing one for me to go back and play through. My top choices are the moment are as follows:
Genesis
Shining Force
Landstalker
PS1
Vagrant Story
Wild Arms
DS
Mega Man: Battle Network 5 Double Team
3DS
Bravely Default
PSP
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years
Knights in the Nightmare
GameCube
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
Wii
Opoona
PC
Alpha Protocol
Quest for Glory: So You Want to be a Hero?
Fallout 2
Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide
Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir
Geneforge 2
Beyond Divinity
Fallout 2. I'd like to recommend Bravely Default but the way it extends the story made me stop playing.

Shining Force is the one I would go with. It's one of my favorite video games of all time, if not my favorite.
YES SHINING FORCE YES
Actually, personally Shining Force II.

I'm going to take a different route & suggest Geneforge 2. I love everything Spiderweb Software does, and when it debuted (granted, it's old now), I found the Geneforge saga to be something that was unique. Having played/completed Geneforge 1 is not necessary to understanding this one.
Maybe after I finish the first one.
You can't go wrong with a Fallout game.
Stop lurking, it makes you look like a villain target

False. Fallout Shelter is more boring than a solo game of LCR.

Remember that every vault was designed with a particular quirk in mind. Apply that to Fallout Shelter. Profit.
Some examples:
Every wek send one person from each room out to yhe wastelands. Whoever survives the longest gets revived and brought back. Or maybe vice-versa!
Pick a random room each day and have it rush until it maxes out its fail chance.
build an elevator all the way to the bottom and rebuild the whole vault at the bottom instead of the top.

I refuse to play a game that forces me to create a game inside of it on my own in order to have fun. I'll stick to playing actual games.

This is why I avoid sandbox games; I like having an actual goal in mind. I love having multiple ways to accomplish a goal, but the idea of having no real goal at all makes it pointless to me.
Anyways, I think I'll go ahead with Shining Force; it gives me an excuse to dust off my Nomad.
