Just like skipping your turn can't satisfy the condition of 2 Meteor Storms in play, you can only discard cards to satisfy a single effect.

On the other hand, you can combo it up with stuff that looks for discards that happened in the past - like Fugue State Parse or Scholar of the Infinite's base powers.
