About the RPG villians that are being focused on just breaking stuff- There is a TV trope called "Orcus on his Throne" from an old D&D book about the planes talking about Orcus demon prince of Undead and how he is sitting on his throne and might start a major plot at an minute. Because they don't want to establish a meta plot but they do want to play up that he is a setting big bad.

The mountain watches the freedom of the sea and cries. The sea looks at the stability of the mountain and sighs.

That was a cool glimpse into the progress happening on Sentinels of Freedom! I can't wait to hear the character voices in-game. :)

In case anybody is interested in more accounts about Teddy Roosevelt's speech following an assassination attempt, here is a good account from Smithsonian. I've seen transcripts of the speech on the internet in various places...they are pretty amazing. He keeps telling people trying to drag him off state that no, no, he's just fine, see, the bullet barely touched him, let him show you...

So in real-life physics, nothing can exceed the speed of light. One of the physical manifestations of that fact is that it takes infinite energy to push an object with mass up to the speed of light. At low speed, putting 1 unit of energy into an object increases its speed by 1 unit - but as speed builds up, it takes more than 1 unit of energy to add just 1 unit of speed. This provides an easy explanation to why Tachyon has no fundamental speed limit, but going too fast would kill her - she'd burn herself up for energy before getting near the speed of light.

Heh, that was also the one science flub they made that I chose to write in about.  I didn't harp on that particular aspect of it, though, since a fundamental assumption of superhero stories is that energy consumption makes no sense whatsoever.
