Damage to yourself and Recovering Question

Say I have a green ability that says:

"Attack up to two targets using Electricity. Also take an amount of damage equal to your Mid die."

This hero also has an inherent yellow ability that says:

"If you would take damage from Electricity, reduce that damage to 0 and Recover that amount of Health instead"

If this hero was in the yellow zone and used the green ability, would he heal instead of damaging himself?

Yes, he would Recover instead of taking damage.

Working as intended!  I've actually seen a few builds that use that Inherent to turn a "drawback" into a boon.

one thing to watch for-
Some Inherent abilities say "reduce to 0 and heal instead" and some abilities say "heal instead of damage" so irreducible damage can still mess you up if you are depending on the wrong ability
