Since I played my first PBF game I've been wanting to try my hand at running a game. It just so happens that challenge mode came out at pretty much the same time. So I'd like to run a high stakes game not for the faint of heart where you get settings as hard as they come without houserules. That means advanced challenge mode with pure randomizer.
Get your chance to win the first PBF challenge game on this forum and a place in a Hall of Fame Topic. If the response is good I'll run a few of these.
Heroes:
Sky-Scraper (grysqrl)
The Scholar (skylarfried13)
The Eternal Haka (RanisTheSlayer)
Kvothe Six-Strings (Ario)
Guise (Powerhound_2000)
Villain:
Infinitor (Advanced Challenge)
Environment:
Realm of Discord
Count me in. I'll take Sky-Scraper.
I like challenging my Sanity I'll take .........
Guise?
Crush your enemies, drive them before you, and laminate their women! - Guise, Prime Wardens #31
I'm interested but how does a PBF game work? I'll take The Scholar though.
I'm interested. I'll take Six Strings.
PBF is play by forum, you can see a few templates for them in Oaktree's topics. As soon as we get a Haka player i'll post the villains turn. This is poster from my french cell phone at my work break so i can't go in détails.
Ooh, Eternal Haka. Count me in!
Good luck guys, advanced Infinitor is a large jump in difficulty. Can't even imagine what challenge mode will look like

Comments:
All damage choices ultimately led to those HP values so I didn't bother asking you guys. You still need to decide wich hero is affected by the crushing cage. That was a nasty first turn I didn't expect to have 10 manifestations in play before heroes could act. I tried to be as concise as I could with effects if something isn't clear tell me and I'll rectify it.
I'm not planning to play a card this turn, so here's what I'm doing, regardless of where the Crushing Cage goes. I -can- take the Crushing Cage (I'm not a bad choice for it, since my starting hand isn't great), but would like for it to be gone in a round or two. What is our strategy here? Just wail on Infinitor and try to take him out before his stuff kills us?

Crushing cage is now next to Sky-Scraper and has dealt her 2 dmg at the end of her turn
Well attacking manifestations on this side is practically worthless at DR 3 except for potentially Haka nd we know Infinitor is going to flip destroying one of his manifestations. So I vote attacking Infinitor or get a hand setup this turn. On Infinitor's turn we choose to destroy the Crushing Cage. I think we just need to let Infinitor flip and burn him down as quickly as possible letting Infinitor destroy the Manifestations doing us the most harm.
Crush your enemies, drive them before you, and laminate their women! - Guise, Prime Wardens #31
When he flips wich manifestation would you like destroyed?
Either the Crushing Cage or the Ocular Swarm. Probably the Ocular Swarm is better to destroy.

Comments:
I prioritized Haka to take damage when I could to take advantage of Ta Moko. There were a few choices on where to Put the damage but I doubt it would change much if you guys insist I ll take out the full flow chart. I followed grysqrl advice on what manifestation to destroy but if you all feel different we can change that.
Edit: adjusted to take into account Guise's missing HP
Edit 2: I had forgotten to put the bubbles damage and the right side on Infinitor
Edit 3: Readjusted final HPs for heroes I believe it<s now ok
All I have to say is ouchies. I don't know how we survive this as Sky-Scraper can't play cards and at best I can take out one manifestation

I tried not to backseat coach but I have a few ideas on stuff I might have done differently on the first turn.
Seriously, Advanced Infinitor (regardless of challenge mode) might be one of the biggest steps up in difficult from regular to advanced. Like Ennead level step up
I'm sure some thigns could have been reworked but there was no way to deal with all of the manifestations having DR3
