We had an amazingly close game tonight. Seriously, it's as close as you can get to losing: game was won with Redeemer Fanatic and Frozen AZ incapacitated and Golem Unity at 1 hp (and Champion Bot as her only companion with 1 hp). We were up against Advanced Baron Blade in Megalopolis. It was insane! At the end, Blade was packing 2 Backlash Fields, the Turret, and a Living Force Field (so he had -2 DR, as Advanced mode gave him -1 to start).
Great fun, though. I've had some close calls, but that was the closest. We were able to keep Unity floating at 1 hp for 2 rounds, protecting her with Bots to soak damage (she purposefully retrieved and played Stealth Bot to soak damage) while AZ kept the environment locked down with his incapacitated ability.
The game was such a killer because we couldn't get a Fueled Freeze or Bee Bot earlier to deal with the Backlashes and Force Field. Frustrating, but hilarious when it came down to the wire.
(And when we flipped him, he had 13 cards in the trash. Fanatic had to plow him for a 20 hp Wrathful Retribution to keep him from winning the next turn.)
